Route One School of Motoring is an independent Thetford Driving School that was established by Bob Seys in 1991. It covers Thetford, Bury St Edmunds, Brandon, Mildenhall, Newmarket and the surrounding areas of Norfolk and Suffolk.
All lessons are given by high grade DVSA-Approved Driving Instructors. Their patient relaxed instruction and expert tuition have resulted in an above average first time pass rate and a lot of recommendations.
We can offer pupils a choice of manual or automatic cars.
At Route One School of Motoring, the aim is to produce a safe, skillful and confident driver - it follows that you will gain your driving licence, freedom and independence on the roads so that you can safely drive in and around Thetford and Bury St Edmunds and also elsewhere in the UK and abroad.

Route One School of Motoring covers all areas around Thetford including Mundford, Brandon, Feltwell, Lakenheath, Mildenhall, Eriswell and East Harling. Students usually drive into Bury St Edmunds as this is where they will take their test.
As well as covering all areas in and around Bury St Edmunds, outlying villages such as Fornham All Saints, Culford, Stanton, Ixworth, Great Livermere, Great Barton, Thurston and Pakenham are also covered.
Our Brandon-based driving instructor covers Newmarket, East Harling and Watton.
If you live in Thetford, Mildenhall or the outlying villages, the flexible pick-up and drop-off system means that, for some lessons, you could start or end the driving lesson in Bury St Edmunds, thus ensuring that a greater percentage of your lesson is spent driving in Bury St Edmunds town centre.
